Expectations of a statistician from a client

Undertaking the statistical data analysis process on your own is a tedious job and can lead you towards the road of failure. It is always recommended to opt for the expert guidance offered by a trained statistician who would be with you throughout the dissertation data analysis process and ensure that the desired results are being obtained in a timely fashion. Although, the students expect a lot from their statisticians, there are some areas where even the statisticians expect a lot from their clients i.e. the research scholars. This blog of mine would brief you about such expectations of a statistician from his/her client.

1The very first thing that a statistician expects from his/her client is a recognition that all the statistical inputs to a research project at the planning stage would lead to a better designed studies. Secondly, the statistician expects the student to offer a set deadline for the statistician advice desired by him/her because setting up an advisory session is time-consuming and should be undertaken beforehand in order to combat any failures in meeting the project deadlines. Another important thing that a statistician expects from his/her client is that the whole problem must be explained at the initial meeting itself, instead of presenting different components at different points of time.

So, these were the expectations of a statistician from his/her client. If these expectations are met beforehand, then it becomes feasible both for the statistician as well as the client to ensure that the statistical data analysis process is being undertaken in the most professional manner.
